Green Pool Recovery in Phoenix, AZ
Algae, cloudy water, a pool nobody wants to touch. We bring it back to clear blue and safe to swim.
From swamp to swimmable
Green water happens fast in the desert.
A pump that quit, a week away in August or chlorine burned off by the sun is all it takes for algae to take over.
Recovery is hands-on work.
It takes a full chemical shock, a filter that runs and gets cleaned as it loads up with dead algae, and brushing until the walls and floor come clean.
We keep at it until the water is clear and the chemistry holds.
Once it is blue, weekly service keeps it that way. Pam’s review further down this page tells the whole story: green pool first, weekly customer after.

Shock and brush
We hit the algae hard with chemistry and brush everything down.
Filter and follow up
The filter does the heavy lifting. We clean it and come back until the water clears.
Keep it blue
Weekly service keeps the chemistry steady so the algae does not return.
Why pools turn green here
Phoenix sun breaks chlorine down quickly, warm water speeds up algae growth, and monsoon storms dump dust and organic debris that feed it.
A pump that stops running is the other big cause. Without circulation and filtration, even a well balanced pool can turn in days during the summer.
Vacant homes, rentals between tenants and seasonal homes left alone through the heat are the classic green pool.
They clear up the same way: steady chemistry, filtration and brushing.
I am so impressed with Tristan! My pool was yucky green and no way could I let my grandkids swim in it. He was so knowledgeable and good at what he did to make it beautiful again and feel safe. I’ve hired him for weekly service and have no regrets.

Green pool recovery: common questions
How long does a green pool take to clear?
It depends on how far gone it is. A light green pool can clear in a few days, while a pool that has been dark green for weeks takes longer. We will tell you what to expect once we see it.
Do I need to drain a green pool?
Usually not. Most green pools clear with chemistry, filtration and brushing. Draining is for water that is too far gone or for an acid wash.
Will it stay clear afterward?
With steady care, yes. Weekly service after a recovery keeps the chemistry balanced so algae does not get another start.
